Cirracore provides a comprehensive disaster recovery solution that is a full local data backup combined with a storage subscription to replicate data to offsite locations. This approach provides the best of both worlds - onsite backups for fast restore times and secure, offsite storage for disaster recovery. Block level deduplication is applied inline to reduce traditional backup storage requirements while also reducing backup windows and bandwidth requirements.

Online-only backup solutions are not completely reliable and have a single point of failure due to cases where network problems exist onsite impeding backups and restores.  Large volumes of backup data will have difficulty backing up within backup windows if the only method of backups are over the Internet and not locally. 

Onsite Data Backup

Cirracore's onsite solution includes an appliance that sits inside the customer's network that provides backup storage for heterogeneous hardware and software.

In the event of a catastrophic failure of one or many devices being backed up, the onsite appliance can perform a full restore of bare metal to applications. View supported applications and platforms.

 

Offsite Data Backup

Cirracore's offsite solution works in conjunction with the onsite backup appliance. Once the onsite appliance is seeded with an entire network backup, a copy of the storage is delivered to Cirracore's data center and the data storage vault is seeded from the onsite appliance data. Moving forward, the onsite appliance communicates over a secure connection to the offsite data storage vault.

In the event of an onsite catastrophic failure such as a flood, storm, fire, etc.,  the offsite data storage vault can restore a new onsite appliance which in turn can restore the entire network onsite.
