How it Works - Using the Cirracloud Cloud Management Console to Create and Manage Your Cloud Servers

The Cirracloud Cloud Management Console is a secure VNC AJAX based solution compatible with the latest Internet browsers, giving a rich user interface experience. Cirracloud's Cloud Management console is built on the CloudStack™ cloud software platform and abstracts the configuration parameters of the hypervisor to allow you to get up and running quickly without having to know the intricacies of the hypervisor APIs.
The Cloud Management Console supports multiple Operating Systems you can use such as CentOS, Windows 2008 Server, and Ubuntu. Templates make it easy to deploy similar instances that have the OS and storage preconfigured.
Below are sample videos that walk you through various functions using the Cirracloud Cloud Management Console to create and manage your VMs.
General Navigation and the Dashboard
Navigating the Cirracloud Cloud Management Console is easy and straight-forward. All of the main areas to manage your servers, templates, storage, IPs, security, events, and support are located on the left menu bar.
The menu bar expands and collapses based on the section clicked on.
The Dashboard (shown right) gives you a high level view of your virtual environment with status on running, stopped and total Server Instances, as well as any events that have occurred.
Creating Your Server using the Create Server Wizard
Creating your cloud Server Instance is as simple as point- and-click selecting options using the Create Server Wizard.
First, you select a pre-configured Template for your OS such as Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-Bit), or CentOS 5.6, or a Template that contains both the OS and an application such as MS SQL Server Web Addition.
Then you select your combination of guaranteed Cores and RAM you want for your server, how much storage you want to attach, name your server and you've deployed a running cloud server!
Creating Manual and Recurring Snapshot Backups
The Cirracloud Cloud Management Console allows you to take both Manual Snapshots of your cloud Server Instance as well as schedule Recurring Snapshots of your cloud Server Instance.
Under the Storage left menu, you would select Volumes, select the Volume you are interested in configuring the Snapshot for, and choose Create Snapshot or Recurring Snapshot. The Recurring Snapshot option would then bring you to a configuration and scheduling screen to set the parameters of your Snapshot.
Configuring Networking and Security Settings
The Cirracloud Cloud Management Console gives you complete control of your networking and security configurations using the interface.
Set Port Forwarding, Load Balancing, VPN networking configurations under the Networking left menu.
Set Security options by adding Ingress Rules by setting the Protocol, Start and End Ports and adding by Groups or CIDR.
